Weekend Wrap Up
Friday was a day for projects.. The kids slept in and as soon as they were up we were off to Lowe’s for paint and supplies.
Everyone wanted to paint.
I was meeting EVERY stay at home mom cliché. Messy hair, yoga pants, yesterdays mascara, & bonus Hadlie spit up on me as we were leaving.
I spent the morning/ afternoon outside painting the table (post coming soon).
During nap time my neighbor comes over banging on our door. I answer and she proceeds to tell me a rattlesnake was in her yard and made its way into mine!! Y’all I don’t mess around with snakes. They are my worst nightmare on crack. Ronnie wasn’t home so I went to the next best thing, Google. Turns out if you have a venomous snake in your yard you can call the fire department to come get it. So I did. Cue the eye rolling!
I know…it seemed a bit dramatic to me to! The fireman were SO kind to me, turns out they do this a lot. They didn’t end up finding the snake so I offered them ice cream sandwiches for their time. The worst part?!? Freddie slept through the WHOLE thing! He didn’t get to see any of it, poor guy. It would have been the highlight of his life. (p.s. i thought about waking him up early from his nap and then remembered that would be worse than a rattlesnake in my backyard.. seriously) I love morning cartoon snuggle time. I’m going to miss when they don’t want me to hold them anymore so I try to soak up as much of it as I can.
Ronnie likes to go on runs around our neighborhood and the kids ALWAYS beg to go with him. This time he took them all on a lap around our house. Out neighborhood has walking trails all around the houses and its the best thing. Freddie was so excited to go running!
Saturday I hosted my first book club meeting! It was so fun! We read “The Girl on the Train.” It was an interesting read and led to good conversation! Sunday was Sabbath and honestly I was terrible at taking pictures. We did church, naps, VBS kick off, and family night dinner. This was snapped as we were stopping for gas on the way home (whoops!). It was a full weekend and I am so blessed by this crazy crew.
Blessings from our family to yours!
We had the best weekend!
Friday night we kicked off the weekend like we always do with a dinner picnic at the beach.
This baby LOVES the beach. She never fusses when we are there. She kicks and squeals the whole time she is in her portable crib (best thing ever, thanks mom!)
Saturday morning we slept in a bit and started off the day with pancakes. While I’m flipping flapjacks these bozos are having their morning meeting.
Hadlie is the most popular person in our house by far.
Our good friend Branden from college stopped by for a quick visit and the kiddos quickly snagged his attention to play. According to Freddie, Uncle Branden is the best.
It was fun connecting with other alumni and meeting new students.
The class of 2032 was less than impressed.
Ronnie then quickly dropped us off at home and headed over to Theology on Tap (a men’s event at our church). The kids and I put on our jammies as quick as possible and ate dinner while watching the new movie HOME. It was so cute!
Sundays we practice Sabbath. We try not to have TV on or do social media. We go to church, spend time in Gods Word , and go to family night dinner at my in laws house. Its so good to really rest .
Blessings from our family to yours.
Saturday mornings are lazy for us. We wake up late and make pancakes… Always.
Ronnie is good to me and instead of waking up early on Saturdays for quiet time I get to sneak upstairs mid morning with a fresh cup of coffee & my Bible, while he wrangles the littles.
Picnic lunch outside.
Then naps for the littles, me too.
I did a little work in the garage (trust me you do NOT want a picture of that chaos)
I love the video venue room. A table for good note taking, comfy seats, & candy that I don’t have to share with my kids. Its a good set up.
We left a couple minutes early from church to rush home and meet my parents. Ronnie, his parents, & I have Charger season tickets and my parents graciously come down and spend time with the kids while we cheer on the Bolts.
Oh Chargers… You give me anxiety but we love you.
Home for Family Night Dinner with the in-laws and my parents. Then an early evening for me cause I’m tired!!
I hope you had a restful weekend.
